MSM and Hair Loss

Hello, I am new to your message board. I read a lot of the posts concerning hair loss, I have this problem too. My question is, in one of the posts you said do not take MSM that contains magnesium sterate. I just wondered why, is this bad for me or does render the MSM ineffective?
