MSM, melasma, rheumatoid arthritis

Hi ,
I had have been using MSM for melasma(2000 mg before bed) but incidently I found that my inflammation due to rheumatoid arthritis is gone. However if I skip my dose, it comes back!!
Is MSM a cure or a relief?? However I have not found any change in my melasma?? Do I need to increase the dosage???
