I have read through all the post concerning Melasma. I was hoping someone who has used MSM for this could help.

First let me say that I had had a complete hysterectomy about 6 years ago and nothing has been the same since. About 3 years ago I switched to all natural hormone replacement (Bi-Est and Progesterone both in capsule form). However the hormone replacement has caused Melasma. I spent a year with determatoligists and nothing they offered worked. They all wanted me to stop the hormones however, that is not an option.

Second, about a year ago I started having problems getting to sleep. Just falling asleep, once I am asleep I am fine and if I wake up I fall right back asleep.

Third, Because of the synthetic hormones I had gained 40 lbs. After switching to natural hormones and dieting I was able to lose the weight. However, when the sleeping problems started the weight started coming back. I have now regained 20 lbs and I am still eating healthy and exercising (nothing has changed from the time I lost the weight).

How much MSM should I take?
Will it effect the natural hormones I take?
Can this help with the sleep and weight problems?
Which lotion/gel is the most effect for my face?

All information is appreciated.
