Some people have said that they have lost weight on MSM, others say they have gained some weight with MSM. Personally, I don't think it affects weight one way or the other except for the fact that when some people feel better, they eat differently than they do when they feel worse.
I feel that flax oil and coconut oil are good, as a part of a low-carb diet similar to Atkins or South Beach or No Grain. Any of those diets will help you lose weight and feel better. And you will be much healthier. But plan to modify your eating for the rest of your life or you will most certainly gain it all back plus more. Just using one or two items (like the two oils) alone won't do much for you, in my opinion.
: I HAVE RECENTLY STARTED WORKING OUT WITH A TRAINER AND SHE SUGGESTED I START TAKING MSM, BUT COULD NOT EXACTLY EXPLAIN WHAT IT WOULD DO FOR ME OTHER THAN IT'S WAS GOOD FOR MY JOINTS. SHE ALSO COULD NOT TELL ME IF I WOULD GAIN WEIGHT TAKING IT. PLEASE ADVISE.THE LAST THING I NEED TO DO IS GAIN MORE WEIGHT. TRYING SO HARD TO LOSE THE 20 LBS I'VE GAINED SINED MY MARRIAGE 10YRS AGO. ALSO, WHAT IS YOUR FEELING ON FLAX OIL AND COCONUT OIL TO HELP LOSE WEIGHT.
