Theoretically, MSM should help because of its anti-inflammatory properties. However, we have had reports of some people experiencing an increase in tinnitus (ringing of the ears), at least initially during the detox period. I really don't have enough reports to say one way or the other whether MSM would help.
In my own experience, I have not noticed any difference one way or the other with my slight amount of tinnitus that I have always had.
