Hehe, I had a 3 day "caffeine overdose"-effect when I started. (yes I somewhat overdid my dosings) You shouldn't never start taking some new suppliment without reading first enough about it :) The faq-section over here is quite good, and theres loads of more writings and info over the internet, but as allways, be sceptical; don't buy everything whats out there.

I could not understand or translate what "anti-inflammitory agent" means, but heres what MSM does: it is used to get the needed sulfur what your body lacks (you lack it unless you eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables straight from the ground, since storing and processing food destroys sulfur from it) and it is one of the main building materials in the body, there's actually as much organic sulfur in your body than there is calcium (!). Sulfur is used in cells to make them more flexible and cellwalls to make them more permeable. Most of MSM "healing powers" is based just in those little changes, but when multiplied with _all_ of your bodys cells needing those changes it makes a huge difference. Basically it means that it dramatically helps your body to heal itself and makes the metabolism work better (-> energy).
MSM is also used in several other things in the body, but since I am not a qualified biologist/researcher I will not state them here :)

So the problem is- I haven't seen anything on this board or elsewhere on msm sites that indicate this reaction. Im interested in purchasing some, but I wonder why I got the reaction that I did if it only acts as and anti-inflammitory agent / dietary supplement. I can't consider that there was a placebo effect because I wasn't expecting it to do anything more than a normal vitamin would.

: Any takers?
