I was at a morning meeting and as I got some water, my client asked me if I had pain in my joints. Sometimes, i replied. He showed me a large plastic jar of crystalline MSM and gave me a scoop (about a teaspoon- after explaining what it was and what it can help with).
After about 15 minutes I felt fantastic. i was awake and focused, and thinking very clearly. I actually felt my mood 'brighten'. Similar to caffeine, but without the jitters / edgeyness.
His assitant had the same amount as me, and experienced similar side effects.
This 'high' lasted about an hour. later on that day, when feeling sluggish, I took some more. Same effect.
So the problem is- I haven't seen anything on this board or elsewhere on msm sites that indicate this reaction. Im interested in purchasing some, but I wonder why I got the reaction that I did if it only acts as and anti-inflammitory agent / dietary supplement. I can't consider that there was a placebo effect because I wasn't expecting it to do anything more than a normal vitamin would.
