I'm not sure if MSM is considered a chelation agent itself, but it certainly does cause the body to release stored toxins to be flushed out. It's also said to make cells more permeable. That's why we suggest drinking a lot of water when starting on MSM or increasing the amount--so the toxins will be flushed out as quickly as possible.
: I have read somewhere that some form of surfur is a good chelation agent. Does that mean that MSM would also make a good chelation agent for heavy metal toxity?
: If it's true, my guess is MSM makes the cells more permeable, thereby making any heavy metals to come out easier?
