I have written about the benefits of curcumin before, but there is mounting evidence that it is even more beneficial than previously thought. Curcumin is the part of turmeric that gives it its color.
We have previously discussed curcumin's benefits in dealing with diabetes, arthritis, and heart disease. But now there is new information that says it is also beneficial for cystic fibrosis, inflammatory bowel disease, crohn's disease, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, cataracts, gallstones, muscle regeneration, and Alzheimer's disease. Add to that list stroke prevention/recovery and cancer prevention (India has cancer rates 10 times lower than we do most likely because of their extensive use of curcumin in their cooking).
Speaking of strokes, many of us saw what appeared to be a stroke-in-progress when a news reporter suddenly couldn't talk anything but gibberish during a live report. We now know that this was a type of migraine but the effects were very similar to what happens during a stroke. You should seek immediate help ff you encounter any of the following: sudden trouble walking (dizziness, loss of balance, etc.), sudden confusion, sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of your body only), sudden trouble seeing, sudden severe headache.
Rapid treatment of a stroke can minimize the permanent damage that is done and shorten the rehabilitation time. We do have two products that we carry that contain curcumin. The first is a stock item, Turmeric. And the second one is a special order item Turmeric Curcumin. You may want to add one of these to your regimen.
