One of our most-asked questions is which MSM to
buy. Here I will list all of the different properties each of
our MSM brands has to try to make it easier.
Lignisul Granular - largest particle size so takes
longest to dissolve in cool water, made entirely in
USA now, least processed so may be most effective
(according to one expert customer), least expensive
US product
Lignisul Powder - smallest
particle size so fastest dissolving in cool water, tends
to clump up and may get rock-hard in humid
environments, 50 cents per pound more expensive
than granular, made from granular by crushing it to
powder size
OptiMSM - in-between particle size, most consistent
quality, also made entirely in the US, most expensive
at $1.75 more per pound than Lignisul granular,
endorsed by Dr. Stanley Jacob
Animal MSM -
also an in-between particle size, not made in the US,
not distilled for purification but still 99.9% pure as are
all of are other brands although they are purified by
distillation, least expensive of all
