No, I have not heard of MSM causing the white blood cell count to drop. But there are also not a lot of people taking that much MSM for long periods of time. I took high amounts for about three months before dropping down.
As to the internal bleeding theory, I would think both red count and white count would be down causing anemia.
At this point, I would recommend that you do back down the MSM amount down to around 1 to 2 teaspoons a day until things are figured out.
: i slowly worked my way up to 16 tsp. of msm a day and have been taking this dose for several months. many chronic symptoms have disappeared but i still have allergies which is the reason i have not cut back on the dosage. my last two blood tests indicate that my wbc and globulin and others are getting lower and lower. they are now going to send me to a cancer doctor to try to figure out what might be wrong. i read online that i could be internally bleeding. the high dose of msm could not be causing this, could it?!(i only weigh 120 lbs., am i taking too much)? please reply asap, i am really frightened!
